The Essence of the Yoga Traditions (2 hours + studio talk)


Join Michael for a series of mixed-level master classes designed for experienced practitioners ready to explore their edges with curiosity and awareness. Through clear verbal guidance and gentle hands-on assists, you’ll be supported in deepening both strength and flexibility in your practice.

Each session weaves together a rich spectrum of postures drawn from the hatha traditions. We’ll flow between dynamic, strength-building sequences that support cardiovascular vitality and slower, mindful holds that reconnect you to the breath and reveal the structural intelligence within each pose.

Every class is paired with an additional short talk (45min) inspired by the timeless stories of the Yogic and Buddhist traditions—offering reflections that invite presence, compassion, and insight into your practice and daily life.

Day 1 — Awakening the Front Line 9:00 - 11:30 (29 march 2026)
Progress from prone to supine shapes and explore wall-supported backbends to open the heart and awaken vitality.

A studio talk on the crisis Arjuna faces in the Bhagavad Gita will be offered additionally after the class.

Day 2 — Integrating the Core 9:00 - 11:30 (21 June 2026)
Explore how the core unites shoulders and legs, bringing balance and stability to inversions.

A studio talk on the three wishes of Nachiketas from the Katha Upanishad will be offered additionally after the class.

Day 3 — Focused Flight 9:00 - 11:30 (27 September 2026)
Cultivate strength, lightness, and focus as you approach a variety of arm balances with curiosity and playfulness.

A studio talk on the eight limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga and its’ place in our daily lives will be offered additionally after the class.
